Wisconsin Badgers appear in AP Top 25 for first time since 2023

Wisconsin Badgers appear in AP Top 25 for first time since 2023Jordon Lawrenz,

Shortly after the Wisconsin Badgers were snubbed in the US LBM Coaches Poll, they saw a number attached to their name in the AP Top 25.

Wisconsin checks in at No. 25, but they're ranked, and that's all that matters.

Shockingly, USC only received seven votes, so the AP voters gave them a much different treatment than the Coaches Poll.

UW knocked USC down 10 spots in the Coaches Poll, but it wasn't enough to get the Trojans out of the top 25, despite crushing them by 17 points.

That win marked the second-ranked victory of the year for the Badgers, and one of the biggest at Camp Randall in Luke Fickell's tenure.

Officially, this is the first time UW has been ranked since Sept. 10, 2023.

Wisconsin is set to face Iowa on Halloween, a team that ranked No. 24 in the coaches poll and was unranked in the AP Poll, though it had the most votes of any non-ranked team (76).
