Yoga with a bunch of puppies isn’t exactly relaxing, but boy, does it look fun! After all, it’s hard to find your inner peace when a tiny, four-legged distraction insists on turning your workout into playtime.
Based on one adorable YouTube Shorts video shared by Muskoka Puppy Yoga in Ontario, Canada, puppy yoga might be less about perfecting your poses and more about accepting that you’re at least having fun.

Taking Downward Dog to Another Level
Puppies of various breeds run full speed toward one another and, between yoga mats, step directly ’s backs as they try to get into Cobra pose. Others seem more interested in knocking over water bottles and tugging on towels. Meanwhile, the attendees struggle to maintain their balance and composure. These pups sure aren’t feeling the flow.
Of course, the chaos is precisely what makes the video so entertaining.
The comments section was full of people admitting they would never get a workout done in these circumstances. “I would get zero exercise done,” one person confessed. “Well, that would be the end of my yoga session,” another shared. “This is absolutely the best way to get nothing done,” another commenter said.
Honestly, we can’t think of a cuter excuse to abandon a workout.

The Benefits of Puppy Yoga
Signing up for a puppy yoga class means you won’t get a high-intensity workout, but rather light stretching and low-impact movement. The benefits, though, go beyond getting in a fun, feel-good workout. Puppy yoga offers perks for both humans and dogs.
For humans, interacting with animals can help reduce stress and anxiety, boost mood and support emotional well-being. Smiling, laughing and playing with puppies can make it easier to unwind, while group classes offer an opportunity to connect with others and share a joyful experience.
For puppies, these classes can provide early socialization, helping them become more comfortable around people and build positive associations with human interaction. They also offer mental stimulation through curiosity-driven play, whether that means tugging on towels or exploring unfamiliar textures (like a yoga mat).
Another bonus? Many puppy yoga classes partner with local animal shelters to feature adoptable puppies, giving them greater visibility and helping connect them with potential forever homes.
While yoga is typically associated with peace, quiet, mindfulness and deep breathing, a handful of energetic puppies brings a whole different energy to the room, and honestly, we’re here for it.
